President’s Message

Welcome to our 97th Tullamore Show.

I would like to thank the Show Committee and the community for the support they have given.

Last year was particularly hard due. to Covid causing the cancellation of our show, however improvements to the showground continued. These improvements include:

– Upgrades to the food pavilion, including lining and insulation with a new kitchen and flooring also installed. The kitchen will be a pleasant area to prepare the meals over the show period and for other events held at the showground.

– A wood heater added to the food pavilion to make this area a great place to be on a cold day.

– The purchase of a mobile coolroom.

– Pull down shutters installed on the new office window, kiosk and on both BBQ areas along with the purchase of a new BBQ.

– The pony club shed has had an extension added and a new drinks fridge installed.

– New horse stables covering has been erected and the chook shed floor has been cemented.

– The brick toilet block has been fully renovated and painted with new flooring throughout.

I would like to thank our committee members and volunteers for assisting with the numerous working bees we have held, without such people, these improvements would not have happened.

Bernadette Boneham, after many years as Show Treasurer, handed the role to Annette Perks in 2021 and Annette has taken the position on with great enthusiasm and commitment. We thank Bernadette for her continued support and knowledge and wish both her and Kevin well in their move to Parkes. Bernadette and Kevin have always played a large role in our show and in our community.

Thank you to Melissa Hughes, our interim Secretary on her amazing work including grant applications, which have been very successful and enabled the continuing improvements of the showground. I would also like to thank all of our sponsors for their ongoing support and contributions to the Show. I hope we can all continue to work together for continued growth of the Tullamore Annual Show and for our Community.

Wishing you a wonderful day at the Show and safe travels home.
